I'm sure I will get asked so here is an answer straight from Josh. I think he might have learned from me a bit on this response.

The new wppr website is out and it is going off WPPR boints the same way it always has but it also has a new 'rating' system. Here is his answer, the last few sentences are the best,

Your ranking has not changed at all between last month and today. The
new website is using the exactly same formula for WPPR rankings as it
did for the old site. This is NOT WPPR v4.0.

With the IFPA Ratings System, playing in every tournament will not
necessarily improve your rating, because unlike the WPPR system it's
not a 'positive only' metric. Your rating sucks because you lose to a
ton of shitty players. If you play more, and continue to lose more to
shitty players, your rating will continue to go down
